Battery security camera

The battery life of the Apollo 2 security camera reaches a maximum of 180 days. This value was determined in tests where the security camera was triggered 10 times a day and a video was recorded. The battery life can be significantly extended with the separately available Apollo 2 solar panel, or it can even provide a permanent power supply.

The battery has a Micro USB port on the side. It can be charged using the supplied USB cable. The battery can be charged either externally or by removing it and charging it indoors. The charging time is approximately 8-10 hours. To ensure the longevity of the battery, we recommend not using a fast charger but a power adapter with a maximum of 2A. (5V 1A-2A)

The Apollo 2 security camera is mounted on a mounting plate. A security screw connects the doorbell to the mounting plate. The mounting plate is first screwed on, and then the Apollo 2 is clicked onto it. All necessary mounting hardware is included in the box. With three adjusting screws, the Apollo 2 security camera can be flexibly aligned in any direction.

The security camera and the Weber Protect App are compatible with all Android and Apple iOS devices. This allows you to connect all your smartphones, whether Android or iPhone, with the security camera. You can connect as many smartphones and tablets as you like with our devices, and all phones can access the camera or other products at the same time.

At Weber Protect, we place great emphasis on data protection and GDPR-compliant data processing. Therefore, all data is transmitted encrypted and is not stored in the cloud. Due to this encryption, it is not possible for third-party providers like Alexa to access video and audio data.

Yes, you will be notified in real time anywhere and anytime, as long as your smartphone is connected to the internet. It does not matter whether it is a foreign Wi-Fi network or mobile data. Remote access to the security camera is possible at any time via the app. Live video and stored videos can also be viewed regardless of location.

There is no upper limit on how many security cameras can be connected and controlled simultaneously with the app. Moreover, multiple cameras can be used at different locations, allowing, for example, simultaneous monitoring of one's home and office.
